We have these national days to bring more awareness to issues like PTSD, but do you think they help? Has it helped you in any way?
We try to use EVERY DAY to bring awareness to the epidemic numbers of us who are taking their lives because of PTSD or TBI or depression or you name it.
So many of us are broken, alone, wandering around in a fog because we feel guilty or shameful or just lost. But here’s what we KNOW. We can get better and relieve ourselves of these ideations. For some it is counseling and talking. Others with TBI find amazing relief from migraines and memory loss with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Some need a service animal. And believe it or not, essential oils, yoga, meditation or physical activity do the job.
All to say, does the stigma of PTSD stop you from getting help? Does a day to recognize it make any difference?
