Partners

Our strategic partnerships help us reach the most people and fulfill the widest array of needs.

Because no two situations are the same, Stop Soldier Suicide has made strategic relationships with many organizations that help us realize our mission of helping past and current Service members (and their families) get the help they need depending on the circumstances they are facing.

We’ve created a two-way street, so to speak, with numerous organizations that we feel best mirror our values and best offer the breadth of help the individuals and families who seek us out need. Because we do not provide direct clinical services, our partners and resources are crucial to our mission.

This program educates and trains first responders to effectively and peacefully resolve Crisis Interventions involving Veterans. The program utilizes and connects the Veteran with resources to improve the health and well-being for the Veteran and their Family. Also, this program seeks to avoid the unnecessary criminalization of mental illness and incarceration of Veterans. This program is designed to save lives for first responders and at-risk Veterans. This program is scheduled for national train the trainer seminars beginning in September, 2016.

Vets2PM

Vets2PM

Military Veterans struggle to quantify their unique experience into a powerful value proposition to civilian employers…we know because we have been there-done that.  But, Veterans have a unique skill-set that directly translates to project management, regardless of their particular military occupational specialty or rank. The problem is that most Veterans don’t realize that this equals project management experience or know how to capitalize on it to build a solid bridge to a lucrative post-service career as a Project Management Professional (PMP®). Vets2PM helps Veterans translate their military experience into commercially viable project management experience civilian hiring managers value highly, obtain industry-leading project management credentials, prepare for interviews with professionally written executive resumes and Interview Skills Workshops, and places them with Fortune 500 companies.

Team Rubicon

Team Rubicon is the only nonprofit disaster response organization that repurposes the skills of veterans to deploy emergency response teams. BeastMode for the Brave

How can you go BeastMode for the Brave? Each of us has own unique gifts – going Beast Mode for the Brave is using those gifts to the extreme to benefit our military heroes. Some of us have physical abilities – running across America like ultra marathoner George Chmiel, doing 22 pushups like US Marine veteran Jacob Schick (22Kill), or hand-cycling in a triathlon like US Navy Seal veteran Al Kovach (President Paralyzed Veterans of America). But others are artists, musicians, dancers, cooks, caregivers, gardeners, gamers, designers, builders, collectors, readers, teachers, students or volunteers. Whatever your talent is, push yourself to the max to honor and support the veterans that deserve and need our help. Personalize the challenge so you can honor vets with your abilities. Then share it with others and challenge them to go Beast Mode for the Brave. Have fun with it, be creative and do it all — as Chris Kyle said — to serve those who have served us. Beast Mode for the Brave benefits the Guardian for Heroes Foundation started by Chris Kyle and championed today by US Marine combat veteran Jeff Kyle. Go to beasmodeforthebrave.org and create your own BeastMode for the Brave fundraiser.
