We are the first national civilian not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing active duty and Veteran suicide.

Our Values

Integrity – Cultivate an environment of honesty and trust with Veterans, team members, and partners by demonstrating consistency and truth in both behavior and actions. Serve the needs of our clients with empathy, humility, and personal engagement.

Community – We honor our responsibility to restore the social contract with our Veterans. We collaborate with partners across individual, public, and private domains to build the support networks to achieve the best service and responsible care for Veterans and their Families.

Respect – We consider every Veteran a Hero. We view our volunteers, interns, and staff as family. We honor partners as important team members in the service of our Veterans. We address client needs with regard to privacy, genuine compassion, and personal dignity. We value contribution and achievement in an environment of personal esteem, recognition, and fairness.

Innovation – Inspire discovery through an environment of open communication, a ruthless quest for creative solutions, and a culture of continuous learning. Apply sound business methods to explore opportunities that encourage efficiency and sustainable growth.

Leadership – Provide the passion, vision, and courage to mobilize resources and inspire action in the relentless pursuit of the mission to end service member suicides. Celebrate the value, optimism, and potential of life through our own example of selfless service.

Our Belief

We believe we all have a responsibility to help our brothers and sisters in arms who suffer from the deepest, invisible wounds of war before they feel their only choice is taking their own lives.

Our Vision

An established, comprehensive, trusted network of individuals, resources and solutions responsive to the complex needs of Veterans from any generation, capable of anticipating and mitigating suicide risk factors, and able to promote resilience, inspire hope, and encourage personal growth and empowerment for our Veterans and their Families.

We are Veterans helping past and present Service members in their greatest hour of need. While we are not a crisis center and we do not provide direct clinical services or funding, we DO fill a gap in offering resources to our brothers and sisters in arms.
